Well this is exciting! The legendary Some Like It Hot return to Plymouth for a very special one off gig! At Mad About Swing, we’re super excited to welcome them back to Abbey Hall as the main attraction at our Swingin’ Summer Party. Hailing from the darkest depths of Cornwall, SLIH used to be a staple on the local swing scene, delighting dancers and wowing audiences with their swinging sounds and irresistible stage presence. When Molly (vocals) took a break to explore other pursuits and Paolo (guitar) swanned off for a life in the Med, we thought all was lost... But, it appears that we were wrong! We'll be supplementing the scrumptious live music with an exciting array of additional ents for a sensational party vibe:
* a fun Shim Sham class to kick the evening off (all welcome and suitable for complete beginners)
* complimentary iced alcohol-free cocktails (while stocks last but we don't intend for them to run out!)
* BYO additional drinks – we'll provide the glasses!
* swing-themed party games
* an exciting blindfolded mini-comp (lots of fun for competitors and spectators alike)
* the usual solid tunes and beloved features that make our socials great

6.50pm Doors open for the 7pm Shim Sham class (Lower Hall)
7.45pm Doors open for everyone else (Main Hall)
11.00pm Doors close
