About the event

Plymouth Summer School
Our 2025 Summer School program will offer about 40 free classes to keep students thinking and active during the summer!

Who can attend?
All school-aged children enrolled in or residing within the Plymouth School District. Students currently in grades 1-11 are expected to transition from class to class with minimal support.

When and where are classes?
All classes will meet from 8 to 11:45 a.m. Monday through Thursday from June 16 to July 17 at Plymouth High School, unless otherwise indicated below.

-Currently in grades 4K-5K: Transition to Kindergarten (for students now in 4K) and Transition to First Grade (for students now in 5K) will be split into two 2-week sessions: June 16-26 and July 7-17; students can attend either session or both.

-Currently in grades 1-7: Students can choose from dozens of enrichment classes. The final segment of the day (11-11:45 a.m.) will be Exploratory Learning/Nutrition time for all students, during which they can eat a free lunch and enjoy a variety of games and crafts.

-Currently in grades 8-11: Students can participate in Plymouth Strength & Speed Training, a general athlete-training program. Those currently in grades 9-11 can attend from 6:30 to 8 a.m. or from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Incoming freshmen (and sophomores needing more experience) should attend from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

How much does it cost?
There are no fees for Summer School. (Those in Animal Recreation Safety and/or Vehicle Recreation Safety can seek optional DNR certification/licensure in hunting, archery, snowmobile, boat, and ATV for $10 each; and trapping for $12.)

How do we register?
Registration opens Friday April 11 and closes promptly Thursday May 22. Parents/guardians are encouraged to register as soon as possible, because many classes fill up while those with insufficient enrollment may be cancelled.

Registration will be handled online via Skyward Family Access and is best done using a computer, rather than a phone. Those without access to the Internet can visit any Plymouth public school office for assistance.
