The American poet and journalist William Cullen Bryant wrote, "Autumn...the year's last, loveliest smile." We agree! When you look at all those beautiful colors of red, yellow and orange, it just makes you want to smile too. Right?
So, in this lovely Autumn month of October, we have another sure way to make you smile. Please join us on Saturday, October 18th, at the Plymouth Arts Council on Sheldon Rd from 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. for a warm and jovial night of acoustic folk and traditional music. There will be 8 open mic spots and our spooktacular feature as well!
Our October host is our very own Maggie Zakem. Maggie is a very familiar face here at BaseLine and her sweet, lilting vocals and lovely guitar accompaniment quite complement the beauty of the season! As host, Maggie will sing two songs and introduce the performers throughout the evening.
Featuring on October 18th is the one and only Voices of Chaos! This very special trio will again dazzle us with their amazing harmonies and contagious enthusiasm. Made up of Dave Drouillard, his brother Dan, and Willy Scott, this group has been singing together for over 40 years. The trio began their musical prowess under the tutelage of none other than Scott Ludwig! Their acoustic and vocal based versions of songs are bewitching! William Wordsworth wrote, "Wild is the music of the autumnal winds amongst the faded woods." I am pretty sure that we will have our own wild music right here on BaseLine's stage! Voices of Chaos will perform a 30-minute set beginning at 8:00 p.m.
We can't promise there won't be any tricks, but we can guarantee there will be plenty of treats! See you soon!
