Celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness and dress as your favorite superhero! On Saturday, May 10th, DSAW Central Chapter is hosting its third annual Superhero Bowling event at Opi's 5 Star Lanes in Plover. Participants and self-advocates are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero while enjoying 2.5 hours of bowling, snacks, a trip to the pizza bar, face painting, and raffle baskets. This year, we will have a Moment of Magic join us. Students for UW-Madison will arrive dressed as characters from some of your favorite movies.
Participants will also get to strut their stuff as they walk the red carpet while friends and family cheer them along!
With the support of our generous friends like you, we were able to host events for caregivers and individuals with Down syndrome and related disabilities, send new and expectant parent packs at no cost to parents who received a Down syndrome diagnosis, and so much MORE in 2024!! WOW - thank you! We rely on the incredible support of our community to make DSAW-Central WI's services happen. Most of our programs and events are fully funded by this annual Awareness Event, and we need YOU to help make them happen. Join us!
This event is in lieu of DSAW's Central Chapter Annual Awareness Walk, and the funds raised support DSAW programming throughout the year, including our Monster Mash, water park days, mini golf, ice fishing, and more.
