Join us for a captivating presentation by Michelle Sprout-Murray, author of Amazing Iowa: People and Stories That Make Our State Great. Michelle spent years traveling across Iowa, uncovering fascinating tales and hidden gems that showcase the heart, humor, and history of the Hawkeye State.

Her book features 80 unforgettable stories across five categories—Famous Iowans, Iowa Firsts, Curiosities & Oddities, Sports Stories, and Dark Tales—alongside a treasure trove of photographs. Michelle will share highlights from her research, stories from the road, and even a few “bonus” tales that didn’t make it into the book.

This interactive 45-minute presentation includes a blend of PowerPoint slides and framed photos for a high-tech/low-tech experience, followed by Q&A, book signings, and photo ops.
