we are thrilled to announce Shaam-E-Ghazal, a grand evening dedicated to the timeless beauty of traditional Ghazals, on August 10, 2025 from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, at Pleasanton Senior Center, 5353 Sunol Boulevard, Pleasanton CA 94566.
This unique event will pay tribute to the legendary artists whose compositions have touched our hearts for generations and we hum even today. Set in an elegant banquet-style venue, the evening promises an immersive musical experience featuring the scintillating sounds of Santoor, that I am excited to perform, along with a lineup of top-tier Bay Area vocalists - Puja Purandare, Anshoo Tikoo Zutshi, Shilpa Singh Thakur and Amrita Kar.
The Santoor, with its mesmerizing strings, is essential to the soul of a Ghazal, evoking delicate, intimate, and romantic moods. Honored to have performed with this magical instrument worldwide, I feel truly humbled by the appreciation received from musical legends and maestros and I’m extremely excited to perform.
Accompanied by celebrated instrumentalists— Amol Chiplunkar (Keyboard), Dilip Acharya (Harmonium), Melvin Gerold (Guitar & Effects), Kashyap Parab (Tabla), Yogesh Ayachit (Side Rhythms) —this musical journey will be guided by Sharad Kulkarni’s poetic narration.
This is a rare opportunity to experience Ghazals in their purest form, away from the influences of pop culture, presented with elegance and authenticity. Tickets are now available!
