Join us to welcome soprano vocalist Katie DeFiglio back to her Hudson Valley home, for a concert of favorite songs from musical theatre, including "Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz, and "Climb Every Mountain” from The Sound of Music. She'll also perform selections from some of her beloved roles from local theatre productions, including Guenevere from Camelot and Mabel from Pirates of Penzance, and end the concert with a ukulele sing-along.

Katie, originally from Poughkeepsie, is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and voice teacher, with a versatile style that includes pop, jazz, folk, classical, opera, and musical theatre. She earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice Pedagogy at Shenendoah Conservatory, her Master's degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Miami, and her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. For over 25 years, she's performed in the Hudson Valley and throughout the US and Europe. Some of her favorite stage roles include: Guinevere (Camelot), Johanna (Sweeney Todd), Jenny (Company), Cunegonde (Candide), and Mabel (Pirates of Penzance). Currently living near Pittsburgh, PA, she is a Lead Instructor and Music Director at Keystone State Music Theater Academy, and has created A Soprano and Her Ukulele and her business, DeFiglio Music LLC. Katie is dedicated to creating well-being, empowerment and joy through her singing, teaching, and music.
