Get cozy with a library book this winter! We’re using Beanstack again this year to help you track your new year's reading.

Whether you’re an adult, teen, tween, kid, or even a baby, you can track the books you read to earn prizes.

Winter Reading Challenge FAQs
How do I know when I’ve earned a badge in Beanstack?
The badge will turn from grey-scale to full color.
What happens after I complete my library challenge?
Stop by the Library before Sunday, March 15 to pick up your prizes.
* Ages 0-18: Pick out a free book when you finish. You also get a safety reflector light just for signing up!
* Ages 19+: Pick out a free book and get a free mug when you finish.
I completed every single square on my bingo card!
Way to go! You get a bonus:
* Ages 0-18: You’ll get a ticket to enter a drawing for either three squishmallows, a star projector light, or a $20 Walmart gift card. Make sure to enter your ticket in Beanstack for your preferred prize drawing.
* Ages 19+: Earn a collectible 2026 “Winter Whiteout” button as part of our new Beanstack Buttons program.
Can I participate if the Platteville Public Library isn’t my home library?
You are welcome to participate in our library challenge. However, prizes must be picked up in person and are for those who use the Platteville Public Library as their primary library. There are thousands of libraries all over Wisconsin and the country using Beanstack: try searching the app for your local library!
