Livestock Virtual Fence Pasture Walk

As we looked for ways to save time and utilize our pastures better it seemed virtual fencing was the next step forward for our pasture management. As we implemented the virtual fence collars back in August of 2024 we didn’t really know how much they were going to benefit our operation. But after using them let me tell you it’s a game changer for pasture management. We have seen huge savings since introducing the system on our farm. From moving cattle prior to the system once per day with a poly wire to now the cattle moving themselves 7 times per day with pre scheduled moves!

During the pasture walk we will be discussing why we implemented the collars, how the system has worked for us so far, the saving we have seen and overall operation of the fencing system. For those who are unfamiliar with this type of system, we are not replacing exterior fencing, this system replaces the interior fences or portable poly wires.
