Ready for a day of outdoor fun, scenic beauty, and just the right amount of thrill? Join us for an unforgettable rafting trip on the South Fork of the American River—designed with UC Davis alumni and friends in mind!
Whether you’re trying rafting for the first time or returning to the river after years away, this Class III whitewater experience is a great way to connect with nature, enjoy a refreshing challenge, and spend quality time with fellow Aggies.
This trip is rated moderate due to the physical nature of paddling through Class III rapids. No prior experience is required, but participants should be comfortable in the water and prepared for an active day.

All rafting gear (helmet, paddle, PFD)
Lunch and snacks
Experienced, professional guides to ensure a fun and safe experience
What You’ll Need to Bring:
Your own transportation to and from the river
Reusable water bottle
Personal essentials (sun protection, quick-dry clothing, towel, etc.)
Who Can Join?
UC Davis alumni, staff, faculty, and their families (must be 12+) Limit: 1 child per adult.

Date: July 19, 2025
Time: 9:00 a.m. to about 3:00 or 4:00 p.m.
Location: Salmon Falls Boat Ramp at 9 am. Make sure to bring $10 cash to pay for parking at this location.
Cost: $100 plus $10 cash for parking
