TITLE TOWN Soul & Funk Party returns to Spirit with another edition of its vinyl-driven funky dance party on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 from 9pm - 2am.

This month, let's GET ON UP because it's our JAMES BROWN Birthday Celebration! We’re turning Spirit into the funky church of soul, celebrating the one and only James Brown the only way we know how — with wild 45s and heavy grooves from deep in the crates.

Expect 5 HOURS of non-stop soul power with DJ J.Malls spinning ALL James Brown & related 45s all night long (The J.B.’s, Bobby Byrd, Maceo, Fred Wesley, Lyn Collins, Marva Whitney, and more) + our usual mix of '60s and '70s soul, funk, disco, boogie, Latin boogaloo and anything and everything in between.

Bringing freshness to Pittsburgh’s clubs since 2009, TITLE TOWN stays true to its original sound, residents J.Malls & Gordy G. take you on a journey across the musical landscape - resurrecting deep soul, funk and disco cuts from the early-1960s through the late 1980s - mixing up rarities from Ann Sexton, The Seven Souls, Darrow Fletcher with stone cold classics from Curtis, Sister Sledge, The Spinners, Curtis Mayfield, Gwen McCrae and more.

As always, we gather to celebrate the power of music, the unique soulful, vibrant sounds on wax - dancing into the night together as party goers, crate-diggers, DJs, family - creating positive vibes, connecting with another, with open hearts and open minds.
