Ready to roll up your sleeves, beautify some community park space, and connect with your neighbors?
Join us for our community "Sweep & Sit Out" at the park on the corner of 20th S and Mary St.
We're dedicating a couple of hours to making our shared space cleaner and more beautiful for everyone to enjoy.
🧹 THE SWEEP // What We'll Be Doing:
- Pulling weeds from garden beds
- Trimming the hedges
- Blowing/Raking up leaves and debris
- Planting pollinating perennials / laying out some planters
- General tidying to make the park sparkle!
🛠️ WHAT TO BRING:
- Yourself and a friend!
- Work/garden gloves (we can lend you some if you don't have any)
- Your favorite garden tools (rakes, trowels, push brooms, etc.)
- Planters/pots if you have them to donate - larger sizes preferred
- Bonus Points: If you have battery-powered leaf blowers or hedge trimmers, please bring them along to speed things up! W**d whackers are also welcome.
🤝 THE SIT // After the Work is Done:
We'll have large trash bags on site, so after we've tidied up, we'll take some time to relax, connect, and enjoy the space we've created together and discuss what we'd like to see it evolve into!
