Seagull Picnic by the Pond

Join us for a picnic by the pond. Arrive early to unwind under an open sky. Bring a blanket and enjoy a specially curated charcuterie box from local favorite Bistro to Go to create a magical moment on Chatham’s idyllic campus before the curtain rises.

Chekhov’s tragi-comedy, with its pantheon of longing lovers, experienced on the banks of a pond straight out of Tolstoy’s Russian dachas (and under the glittering windows of the Mellon Center façade.) Seagull is a story of spiraling unrequited love. At its center is aspiring female playwright Constantine, who falls for the beautiful Nina. Can she escape the circus of her mother, the famous, now-fading actress, Arkadina, and give the world a clarion new artistic voice?

Note: Each Picnic Under the Stars ticket includes one adult priced ticket for the performance and one individual-sized charcuterie box.

Doors Open at 7:30 PM

The show will begin promptly at 8:00 PM
