"Sustainable Saturday: Plastics, Polymers, and Pollution, Oh My!"
Ever wonder what your plastic water bottle is REALLY made of?! Plastics are made of molecules called polymers, and these types of polymers are polluting our environment. However, not all polymers are bad! Be a scientist for the day in this hands-on workshop discovering how polymers impact your daily life, and how scientists today are using polymers to create a more sustainable world!
Hosted by recent Chatham University grad and Polymer Science &Engineering PhD student, Syba (pictured here in her lab coat)!
This is a family friendly event and all ages are welcome.
The presentation will last about 90 minutes.
Dormont Library, 2950 West Liberty Ave.
