Neighborhood E-Waste Collection - District 6

THE FIRST 130 POUNDS OF MATERIALS WILL BE FREE

NOTE: While registration is free, additonal materials after 130 pounds are charged at a cost of $0.35 per pound to recycle.

This service is registration based and tickets are available per person. While registration is free, items are charged at a cost of $0.35 per pound after exceeding 130 pounds. Payment can be accepted via cash, check or card. Only one appointment is needed per registrant regardless of amount of materials.

PRC is utilizing temporary locations throughout Pittsburgh to serve as drop-off locations for City residents to bring electronic waste. ONLY City residents are permitted to utilize this service.

All acceptable materials will be weighed, and fees assessed when material is dropped off. PRC reserves the right to refuse any material deemed unacceptable.

Acceptable Materials:

• All Computer Monitors (flat screen & CRT)

• Televisions (all types, including console)

• Printers

• Home Phones & Cell Phones

• Mice & Keyboards

• Servers, Routers & Modems

• DVD Players, VCRs & Stereos

• Copiers & Scanners

• Video Game Consoles

• Electronic Cables

• Freon Appliances

• VHS, DVDs, Cassette tapes

• Batteries

• CPU (towers) & Laptops * accepted at no cost*

We are NOT accepting household hazardous waste (HHW), pharmaceuticals or tires at this collection.

Procedures:

• Please arrive on site at your allotted time.

• Place materials to be recycled in trunk or truck bed if able

• Packaging or containers used for transport will be returned to participants

• Payment is accepted via cash, check, debit, or credit card
