The Night Shift returns on August 2nd with Melbourne Australia's underground sensation Rem Siman, bringing his genre-defying sound from down under to Cobra! Enjoying multiple releases on Eelke Kleijn's Days Like Nights label, recent support from legends like Solomun, Pete Tong, Miss Monique, Spencer Brown, and Andhim, he has been quietly crafting his unique musical tapestry for over a decade in Melbourne's underground scene. With Beatport chart-toppers under his belt, millions of streams on his hit track in "Face The Music", and a sound that seamlessly blends progressive house, indie dance, and Afro-inspired melodies, Rem will be perfect for the Night Shift: an authentic artist rising from the underground to the Global stage.
Joining him will be our very own Koopmusik with special guest Hon Jao Violin returning to the Cobra booth for a very special night as they all join forces for a live music and violin experience to remember. If you've been to any in the past you know how special these are when they team up. Afterwards, we will be hosting another after party at Redfishbowl as part of the Lawrenceville Art Crawl festivities from 1:30am - 5am! DJ Sun Fire will be starting us off with a special live set, followed by Rem Siman b2b Koopmusik, and closing us out will be Oscar Celedon. Rem Siman, an artist who has been shaping Melbourne's underground dance music scene since he was 17, has crafted a unique and diverse musical tapestry over the past decade. Now 28, Rem has earned significant respect in the local scene for his genre-defying sound.
A pivotal moment in his career came with the 2022 release of 'Lost In Sound,' a collaboration with MAMI that catapulted into the Beatport Top 10 Progressive House chart. Not stopping there, Rem's personal remix of the track also made waves, reaching the Top 50 of the Techno charts and solidifying his status as a formidable presence in the dance music world.
Continuing his momentum, Rem's 2023 release, 'Totem,' an Afro-inspired track, climbed to #85 in the Melodic House & Techno charts. His ability to push the boundaries of traditional genres has captivated both audiences and industry insiders, marking him as a standout figure in the ever-evolving dance music scene.
More recently, Rem has been delving into the underground sound uniquely drawn from Melbourne. His hit track in 2024, "Face The Music," has garnered global attention with over 1 million streams, and receiving support from notable artists like Solomun, Pete Tong, Miss Monique, Eelke Kleijn, and Andhim, just to name a few.
In 2025 Rem started the year off with a 4-track EP release "Good Life" on Vancouvers indie dance label, You Plus One. Following that up with another massive 2-track EP and music video "Bang" on Days Like Nights. With his releases consistently ascending the Beatport charts, Rem Siman, after a decade of behind-the-scenes production, is now emerging as a distinctive force on the global electronic music stage.

In the era when America's Rust Belt got its name, factory workers labored on a 12-hour day or night shift for two weeks straight. To switch shifts, one group would have to work 24-hours straight and cover the labor gap. This grueling shift became known as the Longturn.
Longturn music was founded to give people with day jobs a space to spend their second shift. No bottle service, no passwords, just a dance floor filled with good people and good music.
