"Foundations" is a new take on growing a local community together through the spirit of great house music. Behind the music, is a safe, and unique place for local artists and fans to connect and grow. At its very core, Foundations is more than just a party, it's a shift in perspective. This new project is our way of giving back to a scene that’s shaped us, inspired us, and helped push Pittsburgh’s house music movement forward.
“Foundations” is rooted in the idea that strong scenes are built from the inside out. We have partnered with several amazing organizations to help make this experience a reality. A special thanks to our friends at Hop Farm Brewing Co. for the amazing space and opportunity, Manifest Sound System for that stomach punching sound, and BassPass a new live music & event technology platform. By investing in our own people, we strengthen the core of the community, one party at a time.
We’re ready to transform this amazing space into an immersive adventure of light, sound, and motion for everyone to enjoy. Let the music set you free, as we unite all flavors of deep, melodic, progressive, afro/latin, and everything in between. Foundations will always have a tight focus on showcasing the incredible talent that already exists in the Pittsburgh area.

Introducing Bear Simsek aka "Brysk", a Pittsburgh native deep & melodic house DJ, with a passion for bringing refined European and Latin melodic house influences to the city. With an proven ability to stir the soul with uplifting melodies, and groovy churning bass-lines, Bear has made a statement in the city's electronic music scene by building on the notable success as the co-creator of both Skylite and Pier Pressure series, Bear Brysk is always trying to push the envelope by bringing his unique sound for everyone to enjoy.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of timeless electronic DJs and producers such as Chicane, Orbital, Sasha, ATB and Robbie Rivera. Bear Brysk has crafted a unique signature that takes listeners on a transformative adventure. Through his carefully curated sets, he drives a live music experience that transcends across multiple genres and disciplines. Whether he's performing on the rooftops, or down at the Pier, Bear Brysk’s seriously infectious energy and skill never fail to captivate his audience, leaving them craving more of his soulful music.

It is said that where one is from ought not to influence what one becomes. DJ & producer Jon Martin is a notable exception to this paradigm. Hailing originally from Minneapolis, MN, and now rooted in Pittsburgh, PA, Jon developed a distinct and unique sound reflecting his Nordic roots and Midwestern lifestyle. Best described as melodic, dark, and uplifting, Jon’s music and mixes are a culmination of his Scandinavian pragmatism and old-fashioned American determination, traits which led him to share stages with Electronic music’s preeminent DJs such as Armin van Buuren, ATB, Eric Prydz, Paul van Dyk, Tiësto and many others. Similarly, Jon’s productions, including his work as the original creator of Estrella have enjoyed strong support from the likes of Ferry Corsten and fellow Finn, Orkidea.
