Abstract Sounds with Smoketown Hustle at Kingfly!

Abstract Sounds started in 2021 by saxophonist Jevaughn Bogard. The goal of Abstract Sounds was to bring jazz and dance music back together and they are doing that with their unique blend of groovy originals with extended harmony that really draws you in.

Jevaughn has curated a setlist for you that consists of the hard hitting original music and arranged covers by artist like Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Jill Scott, Daniel Ceasar and many more. If you're a fan of bands like Snarky Puppy, Funky Knuckles , JDilla, Mono Neon then you'll love Abstract Sounds.

The horn section recently recorded for Beyonce's Christmas Halftime Show as well as shared the stage with artist like Aretha Franklin, Kid Capri, Big Daddy Kane, Chick Corea, Sean Jones, Musiq Soulchild ,Kim Burrell, Tye Tribbett, Bootsy Collins , The Ohio Players and many more.

Pittsburgh's own Smoketown Hustle will be opening the show led by saxophonists Rex Trimm and Jeff Fabis. They are joined by guitarist Alex Weibel, drummer Ross Antonich, and upright bassist Vinny Vivaqua!
