Galaxy Kids is excited to share a new a partnership with Pittsburg's Recreation Department! We are offering two programs this fall at the Pittsburg Marina Community Center. Scholarships are available.
💻 Intro to Coding with Scratch 💻
Students learn to make their own video games, animations, and apps with Scratch, a block-based programming language. Learn game design and the foundational coding concepts of sequences, conditional statements, loops, and variables. Learning to code is an essential skill for today's youth. Coding is a fun way for kids to develop skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration, while also opening doors to future career opportunities.
Ages: 8-14 years old
When: Mondays from 5:15pm-6:15pm from October 20-November 24
🤖 Jr. Robotics 🤖
An introduction to early robotics and coding using various hands-on technologies including LEGO Spike, Sphero/Indi, Dash Robot, and Osmo. Young coders build a foundation of problem solving and logical thinking skills in a fun, collaborative, and engaging environment. Perfect for pre-readers and early readers.
Ages: 5-7 years old
When: Mondays from 4:15pm-5:00pm from October 20-November 24
