This experiential workshop, led by Aviva Tulasi, offers practical tools to redefine your relationship with anxiety. Through mindful awareness, breathwork, and meditation, participants will explore how anxiety shows up in the body, breath, and thoughts—and learn how to cultivate steadiness, clarity, and resilience.
Achievements for the Workshop:
Recognize how anxiety manifests in the body, breath, and mind through mindful observation.
Practice simple breathwork and meditation to develop steadiness, presence, and clarity.
Cultivate a mindset grounded in self-compassion and awareness, creating space to choose how to respond to anxiety.
Participants will discover how small, consistent practices can build resilience over time and leave with strategies to integrate into daily life. The workshop includes discussion of what anxiety is, why it happens, and how it shows up physically, mentally, and emotionally. Participants will explore common barriers to regulating emotions and gain empowerment to counteract anxiety, while supporting young people who may not have regular access to these tools.
A majority of proceeds will support the creation of a sustainable Yoga Club at Chatham Central High School through Y.O.G.A. for Youth, providing weekly 30-minute trauma-informed yoga sessions for students and teachers at Chatham Central High School in Bear Creek.
Many teens face academic, personal, and social pressures, yet students at Chatham Central High School often lack access to local wellness programs. Traveling to nearby towns can be difficult due to transportation, time, or because students do not feel they belong in a “large” town. Weekly yoga sessions, held during the school day, will remove barriers such as cost, time, and access to reliable transportation that often prevent youth in rural areas from participating in yoga and other wellness programs. Chatham Central Yoga club offers short yoga sessions designed to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, focus, and resilience to rural Chatham County youth.
As one participant shared, “We get a break and can be with people we enjoy, it makes the rest of the day better.”
