Tourists have made extremely catchy pop-punk jams even catchier thanks to an effortless addition of sounds spanning metal, hip-hop, and Japanese rock. Even though their songs discuss feelings of heartache and regret, the band’s music has ignited crowds into fits of jumping and dancing all across the Coachella Valley. Tourists also embrace their nerdy side as well, using cartoony and video-game inspired art for their merch designs. Their diverse sonic flair wouldn’t sound too out of place in the background of an anime intro sequence either.
Tourists is an indie band from Palm Desert formed in September 2021 by Nick Galvan (vocals, rhythm guitar), Zach Rivizzigno (backup vocals, lead guitar), Billy Gargan (bass guitar), and Xavier Ocegueda (drums). Blending elements from math rock, pop punk, and indie rock, Tourists have the goal of merging disparate music worlds and even take inspiration from hip-hop and metal.
After solidifying their lineup with Xavier in August 2022, Tourists wasted no time and started performing live in October. Since then, they've amassed a dedicated local following, fueled by their energetic performances and genuine love for the music scene.

Empty Seat is a bulletproof band that has persevered through the SoCal rock scene since 2002. The foursome, led by fiery lead vocalist Erin ‘Red’ Marie, cut their teeth playing the punk and rockabilly scene of “Gateway City’ Whittier, California. They’ve played with the likes of Slim Jim Phantom and Lee Rocker of The Stray Cats as well as legends like singers Brenton Wood and Annabella Lwin of Bow Wow Wow. Through the years Empty Seat has performed at many of Hollywood’s most prized venues as well as several television and cable shows, ultimately placing “Top 10 Band” on LA TV in 2007 out of thousands of entries.
In 2008 the band took a lengthy break only to re-emerge in 2018, relocating to the Coachella Valley, site of the world’s biggest music event, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Since the move, they have earned multiple Coachella Valley Music Awards including the 2019 and 2020 prize for ‘Best Alternative Band’, the ‘Best Song’ trophy for their single "Won’t Wait", and Red won ‘Best Front Woman’ in 2019.
The band continues to compose original music, and in 2020 released their smash single, "Rise", a collaboration with rock and roll legend Cherie Currie of The Runaways. Their music has been featured on SiriusXM’s Little Steven’s Underground Garage by DJ Rodney Bingenheimer as well as radio stations 93.7FM KCLB with Todd ‘TK’ Killiam in the Coachella Valley, Z107.7FM in Joshua Tree and on US10 Radio Show with Barry Tomes in the UK. The band has reestablished themselves in the mythical High Desert and are consistently working on new tunes. 2024 saw the release of the alternative-disco rager "Take Back", and the anthemic-pop rock jam "So Alive", recorded and mixed and produced by Grammy Award winning Shawn Sullivan of @worldclassaudio(•The Mars Volta (Editing on ‘Bedlam in Goliath’ ‘Octahedron’ and ‘Notctourniquet’ 2009 GRAMMY CERTIFICATE AWARD) • Omar Rodriquez Lopez - (Mixed/Engineered 10 Solo records) • Reel Big Fish - (“Cheer Up” producer, engineer, mixing) and many more.)

Local rockers Whitewater have captivated the hearts of audiences both locally and online, without having released any music. Thanks to their energetic and faithful covers of ‘90s rock staples, videos of the band performing in a garage or in the desert have gained hundreds of thousands of views across Instagram and TikTok. In a live setting, the band unveils some grunge-inspired original songs that are filled with blazing guitar solos, intense drum beats, and thundering bass lines. Whitewater’s lively stage presence, complete with frontman/lead guitarist Jason Zembo’s impactful vocals, establishes the band as a powerhouse modern rock outfit.
Hailing from the deserts of Southern California, Whitewater is an alternative rock group with a distinct and visceral sound. Influenced by bands such as Soundgarden, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Nirvana the band is willing to cross boundaries and venture into soundscapes both vintage and new. Established in late 2023, the band has over a year of performing experience at iconic venues such as the Whisky a Go Go and the House of Blues in Anaheim. Dedicated and prolific, big things are on the horizon for this fresh desert rock outfit.
