I’d like to invite your company to participate in our 2025 Manufacturing Day event on Friday, October 3rd, at the Joe Morris Manufacturing Building on our Jefferson Campus.
This career exploration event will host 300–500 high school students from across the region, giving them a hands-on opportunity to learn about careers in Mechatronics, Welding, Biomedical Equipment Technology, and our new FAME program. We are aiming to have 30 companies participate, and we would be honored to include your organization.
Event Details:
• Date: Friday, October 3, 2025
• Location: Joe Morris Manufacturing Building (Jefferson Campus)
• Time: Set-up begins at 7:30 AM; Students begin to arrive at 8:30am - event runs until approximately 2:00 PM
• Format: Outdoor event (weather permitting) in the parking lot; indoor backup location is the Lurleen Wallace Building
• Audience: 300–500 high school students
• Company Setup: We will provide one table and two chairs per company, along with lunch for two employees
• Power Access: Available; please bring your own extension cords
• Interactive Engagement: We ask each company to bring an interactive activity to engage students
• Student Bingo Cards: Students will receive cards to collect stamps/stickers from each company booth to encourage full participation
• Facility Tour: Students will tour our classrooms and labs in the Joe Morris Building
• Senior Chat Panel: A rotating panel of company employees will answer student questions in a 10–15 minute Q&A session
