The City of Pinole wants your input! We're working on building reach codes from our Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) 🌍, which was adopted in August 2024 to guide us toward zero carbon emissions by 2045.
But what are reach codes? 🏡⚡
They're local rules that go beyond the state’s building code to improve things like energy efficiency, air quality, public health, and safety. For example, new rules might encourage switching to a heat pump system when replacing or adding an AC unit, while still offering flexibility if certain energy measures are met. 🔌❄️🔥
