Led by James Harrison, LPC, NCC, and PhD Student, Neurodiversity in Supervision: Empowering and Supporting Neurodivergent Supervisees with Tailored Approaches explores how clinical supervisors can better support neurodivergent professionals through individualized, strengths-based approaches.
This 3-hour session will provide guidance on how to recognize the strengths and challenges of supervisees with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, and other neurodivergent conditions. Participants will learn how to adapt common supervision models to meet diverse learning and communication needs, while emphasizing culturally responsive, socially just practices. Through practical tools, case examples, and reflective discussions, attendees will gain strategies to foster more effective, supportive supervision environments.
Whether you're new to supervising or looking to expand your skills in working with diverse supervisees, this training offers valuable insights to promote growth and inclusivity in clinical supervision.
