Tampadelphia has been invited to try a new venue for the Eagles pre-season scrim this Saturday, August 16th at 1 pm.
The location is the OCC Roadhouse Grill on 49th St. (3 blocks south of Ulmerton) in Clearwater.
It's literally around the corner from Mugs. Maybe a mile away, down 49th St. Look for the giant American flag.
You know I'm not invested in pre-season games. But this combines an opportunity to get together, see a scrim and check out a new place for us. While we like many things about Mugs, OCC offers more size, more screens, indoor and outdoor amenities, a wide menu of different choices and an interesting theme.
Immediately next to it is the Harley Davidson store and museum. Bikes from the TV shows Orange County Chopper and American Chopper are in the OCC Grill and the museum.
There's several large parking lots, all close to doors. Multiple bars! Multiple rest rooms on all sides. Menus delights were sampled by a small crew from our group yesterday and several items were pretty good. If you dance there's a live band on Sunday at noon!
They get all the NFL games so we won't miss any. Their capacity is well over 1,000+!
The hosts are terrific. They want to add more fun and rewards to our game days. If we like it here and they like having us, we could be adopted. So if you can join us at OCC on Saturday the 16th at 1 pm, let me know your thoughts.
Yes, we'll have prizes, Eagles merch and many hellos. I'll be there by noon. Seating inside is first come, first served, so be early!
As always, NO admission! No Cover! They do add a fee for credit card payment but it's $1 for every $25 charged, so bring cash if you prefer.
