4th Sunday Contra Dance

We would love to have you join us Sunday, Dec. 28th from 3:30 to 7pm for a fun afternoon/evening of contra dancing! This dance will feature Gainesville caller Jonathan King and live music from The Rafter Ringers.

Contra dancing is an upbeat, beginner-friendly American folk dance for all ages. It shares many moves with square dancing (such as swing your partner and do-si-do) and is danced in long lines to live music. No dance experience is needed and you don’t need to bring a partner. Those new to contra dancing are strongly encouraged to come by 3:30 when a Beginner Lesson will be taught, and as dances are taught in more detail early in the evening. Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes.
$10 for Adults, $5 for Students, Free for Kids under 12. Admission is payable by cash, Zelle, or PayPal at the door. Newcomers get in to your 2nd dance free! Share this post and bring a friend. Contra dance is for everyone.
