Laughs Under the Stars: La Jolla at Whitefish Lake Hosts "Comics at the Course" – July 19 at 8 PM
Pierson, Michigan – La Jolla at Whitefish Lake Golf Course is excited to announce a night of laughter and live entertainment with “Comics at the Course,” taking place on Friday, July 19 at 8:00 PM. Set against the scenic backdrop of our beautiful pond and grounds at Whitefish Lake Golf Course, this one-of-a-kind comedy event promises an unforgettable summer evening for guests 18 and older.
Join us as professional stand-up comedians take the stage in our clubhouse for a unique comedy experience unlike any other in West Michigan. Bring your friends, grab your favorite appetizer, cocktail or craft beer from our fully stocked bar, or come early to enjoy dinner in our restaurant, and settle into our one-night comedy club for an evening of good vibes and great laughs. Our stand-ups include comedy couple Robyn and Jason Gilleran of Hard G Comedy, with Grand Rapids’ own Alexa Stanton of Don’t Tell Comedy.
“This is the kind of event that brings people together—friends, couples, coworkers—for something fresh, fun, and genuinely entertaining,” says the La Jolla Events Team. “We’re thrilled to offer this experience in such a beautiful setting.” Comedy couple Robyn and Jason Gilleran of Hard G Comedy are our headliners, with opener Alexa Stanton of Don’t Tell Comedy in Grand Rapids.Doors open at 7:00 PM, and seating is first-come, first-served. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, enjoy food and drinks from La Jolla’s bar and kitchen, and soak in the summer evening before the show begins.

About Our Comedians:
Robyn Gilleran is a comedian based in Detroit and is the better (looking) half of Hard G Comedy with her husband Jason. This former fat kid and current actor/model is the mother of teenage boys and has a lot to say about growing up, motherhood and life in general. Robyn has performed on stages across the US including Zanies Chicago, Jimmy Kimmel’s in Las Vegas, Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle, The Detroit House of Comedy, Traverse City Comedy Club, as well as Gildas Laughfest, The Traverse City Comedy Fest and the Detroit Women in Comedy Festival. She's sure to catch you off guard and teach you to never judge a book by her cover.Jason Gilleran has been a part of Detroit’s thriving comedy scene since 2017. Along with his stand-up comedienne wife Robyn, they are Hard G Comedy and have co-headlined The Dallas Comedy Club, The Underground Laugh Lounge, the Fort Wayne Comedy Club and more. They also produce shows together all over Michigan. Jason is a regular at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle and One Night Stan’s and has performed in the 2025 Gilda's Laughfest and the Traverse City Comedy Fest in 2023 and 2024. His 20 years of experience as a Urologist (aka “the Dick Doc”) means he’s seen a few things. Things he can’t unsee. Jason brings a fast pace, almost absurdist view of the things he finds funny, like bad food, good music, and an ongoing mid life crisis as a Gen X husband and father. And yes, there are dick jokes.

Our opener, Alexa Stanton, a powerhouse of comedy with quick wit and a knack for turning life’s quirks—like her hilariously "short" butt crack—into gut-busting punchlines. Whether on stage delivering punchlines or embodying a theatrical role, Alexa’s dynamic presence always leaves a lasting impression. She’s appeared on K*ll Tony, Brian Redban's Secret Show and has worked her way up to producing for Don’t Tell Comedy, one of the hottest underground stand-up shows around that is currently being featured on Hulu. Alexa has also shared the stage with comedy heavyweights like Josh Blue and Ricky Velez, proving she’s more than funny—she’s exceptional.With a magnetic personality and sharp comedic edge, Alexa Stanton is a rising star taking over the comedy scene with laughter, wit, and undeniable charm.
