Drop Spindle Class: A Hands-On Fiber Workshop with Our Clouse House Textiles

Join us for this one-of-a-kind workshop with local fiber artist, Kira Clouse. Come ready for a thrilling hands-on experience learning the process of creating yarn with a drop spindle. Kira will cover different fiber types and roving, as well as show you how to work hands-on with wool to create handspun yarn. Even more, the skills that you learn in the class, you'll be able to continue to enjoy and pursue at home. As a part of this class, each participant will receive spinning fiber, a spindle along with the knowledge they will take come from learn spinning basics during this workshop.

About the Fiber Artist
Kira Clouse is part of a fiber artist-duo based out of Upstate South
Carolina. Kira works within traditional textile practices, including handspun yarn,
weaving, and embroidery. Along with Sandy Clouse, their business Our Clouse House
Textiles create a variety of household fiber products.
