May 25, 2025 @ 1:30 PM - Dr. Elizabeth Lange on the influence of 75 years of economic policy on the health of our democracy.

June 5, 2025 @ 6:30 PM - Dr. Asa McKercher will help us understand the particular role of Canada-US Relations on our system of democracy.

June 12, 2025 @ 6:30 PM - Dr. Terry Gibbs will talk about Big "D" Democracy, ie, what should a democratic society look like beyond elections.

This is a nonpartisan event hosted by a small group of friends and neighbours in Pictou County who wonder how we might support the well-being and preservation of our democracy. The speakers are all expert in their field but are wonderful teachers who make scholarly topics uniquely engaging.
