Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at how the Waikawa Boating Club — with over 700 members — is leading the way in sustainable boating. Through their “Clean & Green” initiatives, the Club has earned a prestigious 3-star rating from Yachting New Zealand.
From reducing energy use and eliminating single-use plastics to running beach clean-ups, “Clean Regattas,” and a regular “Green Corner” newsletter, the Club is creating real change to protect the Marlborough Sounds. Judges of the Port Marlborough - Marlborough Environment Awards were especially impressed by the passion and teamwork shown by both the executive and members in embracing meaningful behavioural changes.
This field day is being held alongside the Club’s Open Day — all are welcome, it’s family-friendly, and racing kicks off at 2:30pm after the field day concludes.
