House music is a kind of playground for sample-based music to inspire dancing while also referencing musical history and enjoyment of a thunderous subwoofer with friends. In a lot of ways, house is a perfect place to try and be communal and inspired in the moment on the dance floor, which is why you will see a lot of elements like jazz, disco, hip-hop, and even some psych blended into his sets. DJ culture for him is about musical appreciation and trying to share that appreciation in real time with the people on the dance floor.
