New Exhibit Opening Reception

The Pickens County Museum of Art & History will host a special event on Saturday, September 6, from 4 to 6 p.m., highlighting the firearms of the American Revolution. During the war (1775–1783), flintlock rifles were not only practical tools of battle, but also powerful symbols of the colonists’ fight for independence. The Ken Nabors Collection will be on display, featuring rifles, pistols, powder horns, and other artifacts from the Revolutionary period. Guests can meet Ken Nabors, enjoy complimentary food and drinks, and interact with costumed interpreters who bring history to life. Admission is free and open to the public.
