Step back in time and discover the art of traditional blacksmithing! Join historical demonstrator Kevin Thompson for a hands-on, full-day workshop that brings this centuries-old craft to life.
In this immersive class, you’ll learn the five essential blacksmithing techniques — drawing out, tapering, bending, scrolling, and twisting — while creating functional items like S-hooks and wall hooks to take home.
You’ll also gain insight into:
Blacksmith shop safety
Basic finishing techniques
The history and heritage of blacksmithing
How to build, maintain, and use a coal fire
