Event Description: Join director Chris Newhard for an exclusive screening of a rough cut of Dr. Paul Saladino's new film Food for Humans, a documentary about simplifying the human diet. Attendees will get the opportunity to have their feedback incorporated into the final film. Plus, the director will stick around after the screening for a special Q&A.
About the Film: Paul Saladino, MD, famous for his food and wellness videos, which have garnered more than 2 billion views, stars in this groundbreaking documentary that exposes the mainstream misinformation about meat, plant-based diets, and the foods that are making people sick. Replete with expert and celebrity interviews, Food for Humans follows a group of everyday people who are struggling with chronic illness, autoimmune diseases, obesity, low libido, and inferior diets that lead to human suffering. Throughout the film, Dr. Saladino teaches these people about the toxic foods they must remove—and the nutrient-dense foods they can add—to arrive at the natural human diet. He also addresses conventional misconceptions around cholesterol, saturated fat, inflammation, and plant nutrients.
About the Creator: Emmy-nominated Netflix filmmaker and New York Times–bestselling author Joshua Fields Millburn is known to millions of people as the leader of the simple-living collective The Minimalists. Dubbed a “luminary” by The Sunday Times and a “sincere prophet of anti-consumerism” by The New Yorker, Millburn has been featured in Time magazine, GQ, Architectural Digest, The Guardian, and Good Morning America, and he has spoken at Harvard, Apple, and Google. His Netflix documentaries have been viewed by more than 130 million people in 191 countries. For his newest project, his Burning Fields production company has partnered with director Chris Newhard and Booklight Films to create Food for Humans, a documentary about simplifying the human diet.
