About the event

Cartoon Club: Looney Tunes Shorts Program
Welcome to the first wave of the Cartoon Club. The Colonial will screen a collection of classic cartoons once a quarter, on Saturday morning, the best time to watch these. Our first helping of cartoon classics is from Warner Bros. and will feature the Looney Tunes. Below you will find 11 shorts and their titles that will be showcased.

Parents, please note that most of these cartoons are from 1943-1957. Some of these shorts may have social or racial stereotypes that are no longer appropriate.

ONE FROGGY EVENING (1955)
A man futilely struggles to make his fortune with a frog that sings and dances, but only when it is alone with the owner.

LITTLE RED RIDING RABBIT (1944)
Bugs, the Wolf and bobby-soxer Red chase each other around while Grandma is off working at Lockheed aircraft.

MOUSE WRECKERS (1949)
Mice Hubie and Bertie try to remove Claude the Cat from his house by driving him insane.

BACK ALLEY OPROAR (1948)
Sylvester sings opera and popular tunes while standing on a back alley fence; Elmer, who wants to sleep, tries to thwart him.

THE BIG SNOOZE (1946)
Elmer Fudd walks out of a typical Bugs cartoon, so Bugs gets back at him by disturbing Elmer’s sleep using “nightmare paint.”

FEED THE KITTY (1952)
A bulldog, charmed by a kitten, tries to keep her hidden from his human guardian.

BIRDS ANONYMOUS (1957)
When Sylvester learns of the possibly dire consequences of his passion for birds, he joins Birds Anonymous to quit. Unfortunately, the outside world taxes his resolve to the limit.

RABBIT SEASONING (1952)
Daffy Duck tricks Elmer Fudd into believing it’s rabbit season; but Bugs Bunny uses a female disguise and faulty pronouns to fight back.

DUCK DODGERS IN THE 24 1/2TH CENTURY (1953)
Duck Dodgers and Marvin Martian wage war over Planet X.

CARROTBLANCA (1995)
A spoof of the classic film Casablanca (1942), starring Warner Bros.’ Looney Tunes characters.

FALLING HARE (1943)
Bugs encounters wartime sabotage and takes to the air to do battle.
