Transitus of St Francis of Assisi

Join us for a beautiful celebration of the Transitus – the passing into eternal life of St. Francis of Assisi. This ancient Franciscan tradition includes readings from the testimonies of Francis and his companions, the gradual elimination of the light, the agape (sharing of the bread), and the veneration of his relic. In the ambiance of the candlelit Basilica, beautiful choral music will be provided by local choir Canticum Novum.
