The Far West — Los Angeles's unapologetic torchbearers of alt-country and Americana — deliver technically pure, slightly jaded, and no-nonsense storytelling that hits like whiskey for the every-man. Fronted by Lee Briante’s John Prine‑like rasp and sharp lyrical wit, and anchored by stellar musicianship, their songs feel both familiar and fresh — likened to Waylon’s band jamming with Wilco. Since forming in early 2010, they’ve gigged across Southern California and the Southwest — from El Rey to Pappy & Harriets — opening sold‑out shows for the likes of JD McPherson and Nick 13.
