SMHS 51st Homecoming Parade and Tailgate
Our Student Government (StuGo) has been working since last May to prepare for the 51st Annual Homecoming Parade and Tailgate. The parade and tailgate will both take place on Friday, October 10th, with the parade beginning at 3:30 PM and the tailgate following from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Bring your chairs and blankets to enjoy the parade as you cheer on and celebrate Shadow’s clubs, sports teams, boosters, neighboring schools, local businesses, and more.
After the parade, make your way onto campus for the tailgate, which has grown into a carnival-style event for all ages. There will be games, food, music, inflatables, attractions, food trucks, merchandise, and much more. Gold and Blue wristbands are currently available for presale. Gold wristbands are reserved for SMHS students only, as they include admission to the Homecoming Dance along with unlimited access to all attractions. Blue wristbands provide unlimited access to the attractions and are open to everyone. Wristbands and tickets for the carnival booths will also be available for purchase at the door, and this will be a cash-only event. Please see the attached flyer for pricing information.
The evening will conclude with the Homecoming football game at 7:00 PM at Victory Field. The theme for the game is Blue and Gold, so be sure to come dressed in your Matador spirit wear to show your pride and support!
