Professor Ray Flores is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under the legendary Carlos
Machado, having trained and instructed at the Machado HQ in Dallas, Texas.
Beginning his martial arts journey in 2005 in Northwest Austin/Cedar Park, he first
discovered MMA as a physical outlet before falling in love with the discipline and
lifestyle of Jiu-Jitsu. Over the years, he has competed in tournaments throughout
Texas, but his true passion lies in teaching and helping others grow. Professor Ray’s
teaching philosophy is simple: a black belt is a master of the fundamentals. For
beginners, this means building a strong foundation that lasts for life — whether for
self-defense, sport, or personal growth. As both a father and instructor, he
emphasizes humility, discipline, and developing the kind of confidence that comes
only from consistent training. Join us on September 5 for this beginner-friendly
seminar where you can expect individual attention, clear instruction, and the tools to
start your Jiu-Jitsu journey with confidence.
