Ever wanted to learn the real history of the duel? Join the Phoenix Society of Historical Swordsmanship for a 90-minute workshop on the 17th-century rapier.
We will be diving into the techniques of Nicoletto Giganti, a famous master from 1606 known for his efficient, aggressive, and highly effective style. This isn't stage combat—this is the study of a sophisticated martial art. We will also touch on a few other masters of the period.
📋 What You’ll Learn:
The Long Lunge: How to strike with maximum reach and speed.
Blade Control: The mechanics of finding and neutralizing your opponent's sword.
Tactical Footwork: How to move like a 17th-century duelist.

Note: Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out a safety waiver so we can get swords in hands right at 12:30!

Wear: Comfortable athletic clothes and closed-toe shoes (required).
Gear: We provide all swords and safety equipment.
Hydration: A water bottle is highly recommended.
