The book for July & August: The Covenant of Water
by Abraham Verghese

The Covenant of Water follows three generations of a family living in Kerala, India, from the early 1900s to the late 1970s. The family is marked by a strange, recurring tragedy involving unexplained drowning deaths. Against this backdrop, the novel explores deep themes of love, faith, and resilience.

Special Note: We will be reading this book over July & August with the discussion meeting to take place on August 13th.
