Siddartha Jatla’s "In the Belly of a Tiger": Meta House Premiere (Q&A)

An elderly farmer decides sacrificing himself to a tiger will free his family from poverty. He shares a final surreal night with his wife before his planned death. Caught between real events and the magical lotus blossoms from the belly of Lord Vishnu, Siddartha Jatla’s In the Belly of a Tiger (2024, 91 minutes) is a poignant critique of capitalism. The film was screened at Berlin International Film Fest 2024.
