Join Forman Arts Initiative and Mural Arts for a sunset screening in the iconic Love Park as we showcase a special selection of stories reflecting immigrant perspectives through seven Philadelphia-based filmmakers. Each of these films highlights the diverse experiences of being rooted in one place while having a life lived elsewhere. The films explore various perspectives on family, displacement, motherhood, and the expression of identity and shared experiences.

Imaginary Lines, episode 1 (USA, 2025, 8:30)
Imaginary Lines collective(Nadia Hironaka, Matthew Suib, Ileana Doble Hernandez and Eric César Moralessts, filmmakers, storytellers, and activists working with Philadelphia’s Latin American immigrant communities.)
Imaginary Lines is a series of animated short films that explore immigration as a challenging and profound human experience, created in collaboration with Philadelphia’s Latin American immigrant communities. Using the migration of the monarch butterfly from Central Mexico to the Northeast United States as a framing mechanism, the project embraces the detail and nuance of individual experience as well as the shared experiences that drive people across borders.
