Philly Queer Birders at John Heinz NWR!

Join Philly Queer Birders and local birder, Debbie Beer, for a spring migration walk at ! We'll see plenty of migrant songbirds, nesting residents, and shore birds among others. Registration is required but if/when the event fills, a wait list will open. We highly recommend getting on the wait list if there is one, as we are almost always able to offer a few spots as the event gets closer.

We'll meet at the and move along gravel path, boardwalk, dirt and grassy paths at a slow pace. There are a few benches on the boardwalk and bathrooms at the start. Depending on how many birds we see, it's possible we'll only walk a mile or so during our time. We'll have binoculars to share as well as a scope. There is plenty of parking at the refuge and proximity to the 37 and 108 bus as well as the Eastwick train station. We look forward to seeing you there!
