Opening the Archives: Cecil B. Moore Library since 1962

As part of Scribe Video's North Philadelphia History Festival, we will be displaying our archives on Thursday, July 24 and Friday, July 25 during our open hours!

Brewerytown/Sharswood community members are fighting to preserve and renovate historic Cecil B. Moore Library. The branch will display our archival collection of newspaper articles, personal and architectural photographs, books, and historic documents.

The materials cover the 1960s construction of our branch, the rededication of Cecil B. Moore Avenue and renaming of library in 1987, and the staff and community programming over the years.
Our two historic murals will also be on view alongside the history of their design and installation.
