What better way to celebrate the Orchestra’s 125th anniversary than with the commissioning and world-premiere performances of a new work by American master John Adams? Featured in this program is a “one-in-a-million talent” (The Dallas Morning News), Yunchan Lim, the youngest pianist ever to win the coveted Van Cliburn Competition Gold Medal. He performs Bartók’s Third Piano Concerto, which was given its world premiere by the Orchestra in 1946.
