Introduction to Buprenorphine Prescribing in Primary Care

TARGET AUDIENCE: Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners who have prescriptive authority.

CE's: Program eligible for CME's

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Review Philadelphia specific epidemiology and the rationale for treating patients for opioid use disorder in primary care.
  2. Describe foundational concepts and approaches to safely prescribing and treating opioid use disorder in primary care settings.
  3. Describe principles of harm reduction as they relate to primary care practice.
  4. Describe practices related to prescribing Brixadi and Sublocade (Long Acting Injectable Buprenorphine).
