Roles
3 roles for young girls (ages 8-13)
6 roles for young boys (ages 8-13)
5 roles for adult women (ages 18-65)
5 roles for adult men (ages 18-70)
One girl should be between 18 & 23 with a resemblance to Tejano singer Selena who will also need to sing a couple versus of two of her popular songs. Those trying for the role of Selena, please be prepared to sing a verse or two of Dreaming of You and Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.

No appointments are necessary. Sides from the script will be available at the audition for the different roles.
About The Play
The well-known Ebenezer Scrooge becomes Ezequiel Codos from Pharr, TX in this new adaptation from the famous Charles Dickens story, “A Christmas Carol”. Set in the Rio Grande Valley in the city of Pharr, Mr. Codos is the most powerful attorney in all the region and a big-time water broker and landowner. In fact, he’s so greedy that he sells large portions of water rights from the Rio Grande causing catastrophe in the future, when the river goes dry, and thousands are very thirsty. In this hilarious, dramatic comedy, Codos is visited by 3 ghosts including the ghost of the past who is La Rielera (a woman soldier) from the Mexican Revolution era, and by the ghost of the Christmas present who is Tejano singer Selena. The play has regional music, sound effects and an authentic Rio Grande Valley flavor and setting.
Audition and Production Details
Once the play is cast rehearsals will begin on October 6 through December 2 and will run; Mondays through Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Performances will be held from December 3rd through December 21st in Pharr, Texas.
All acting roles within Pharr Community Theater are entirely voluntary, as we are a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching our community through the arts.
