🌈 Get set for a dazzling explosion of colour, giggles, and pure fun at the Rainbow Rush Challenge 2025! 🌈
Happening on 21st June 2025 at The Thirsty Giraffe, this family-friendly adventure is going to be bigger, brighter, and way more epic than last year’s blast. Splash through vibrant trails and tackle thrilling obstacles, all while supporting the Scales Conservation Fund and Greater Kruger Alley Cats. Ready to dive in?
When Does It Start?
We’ve split the day into age groups to keep the fun safe and fab for everyone, little rainbows go first, and bigger kids and grown-ups get to conquer the wilder courses later! Rock up at least 15 minutes early to check in and groove with our warm-up crew. Parking’s tight, so carpool with your crew to save space!
09:00 AM – Under 5s Challenge (Obstacle course only—think tiny, colourful chaos!)
09:30 AM – 6-8 years Challenge (1km Dash plus a super-fun Kids obstacle course)
10:00 AM – 9-12 years Challenge (3km trail and Kids obstacle course for big-kid vibes)
11:00 AM – 13-16 years Challenge (5km ramble and the full, thrilling course)
11:30 AM or 12:00 AM – Adults Challenges (5km and full colour rush course, max 50 per time slot, pick your time when booking).
Entry Fees
Under 5's - R75 per entry
6 to 8 years - R100 per entry
9 to 12 years - R130 per entry
13+ years (Including Adults) - R190 per entry
Family Ticket - R580, Grabs spots for 2 adults and 2 under 12s at a discount, perfect for a rainbow squad!
Heads Up: Kids under 16 need a parent or guardian present.
Official Rainbow Rush T-shirt for R200 (pre-order only, deadline midnight 18th June 2025). A few extras might be up for grabs on the day, but sizes will be limited, so don’t sleep on it!

Course Teaser
Brace yourself for a wild, colourful ride through bush trails and super-cool obstacles! Every age group gets a course bursting with fun and tailored just for them. Think bouncy, splashy, rainbow-rific challenges! We’ll spill the beans on specific obstacles, like inflatable slides & epic crawls, once we lock in the final course designs. Watch this space for the juicy details!
How It Works
Go solo or squad up with your pals, trust us, it’s way more fun when you can laugh at your mates! Feeling speedy? We’re cheering for your inner rainbow rocket.
Here’s the deal:
~Under 5's jump right into a pint-sized obstacle course, no run, just pure colourful fun!
~The 6-8 crew starts with a 1km dash, then dives into a super-fun obstacle course.
~For 9-12 years, it’s a 3km adventure broken up by crazy obstacles.
~The 13-16 years and adult champs take on a 5km journey, with epic obstacles sprinkled throughout.
But not matter which course your taking part in, our team and volunteers will be on hand to cover you head-to-toe in vibrant hues at every turn!
Your age group’s set start time keeps the rainbow party flowing, and our warm-up crew might surprise you with a sneaky colour shower.
Parents, join the morning fun by tossing or squirting colour at your little ones as the kids get their revenge, painting our challenge runners like walking rainbows!
