Discover the power of yoga to calm your nervous system, easing mental/emotional stress and turning down the volume on pain in your body.
This 75 minute workshop will start with 15 minutes of pain science education including the latest research regarding the bio-psycho-social approach to pain management and the evidence supporting the power of gentle movement, breathwork and deeper self-awareness to ease emotional and physical pain.
We will then move into an empowered, trauma sensitive practice combining gentle seated movement, breathwork and supported restorative poses to explore sensation in the body from a state of safety, curiosity and self-compassion.
If you are curious about yoga as more than just "exercise," or looking for ways to bring more ease into your life, or suffering from any form of chronic pain and interested in the bio-psycho-social approach to pain and pain management, you are invited to come .... and bring a friend!
This workshop is safe for all and designed for anyone, even those who have never done yoga before.
